Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Renter Vault mobile application provided by Orbitech LLC (“Orbitech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using Renter Vault, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. You may use Renter Vault only for lawful purposes and only with content you have the right to capture, store, and share. You must respect privacy, recording-consent, property-access, copyright, lease, and other laws that apply where you live.

3. What Renter Vault provides

Renter Vault helps organize property details, room checklists, condition notes, photos, videos, documents, reminders, repair updates, comparisons, and reports. Features may vary by device, operating system, store availability, and plan.

4. No legal advice or guaranteed outcome

Renter Vault does not provide legal advice. Reports, timestamps, photos, notes, file digests, or other records do not guarantee authenticity, admissibility, reimbursement, return of a security deposit, or success in any dispute. A landlord, insurer, court, agency, or other recipient decides what weight to give a record. Consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.

5. Your records and responsibilities

You retain rights to content you create or add. You are responsible for accuracy, lawful collection, obtaining required consent, choosing what to share, and keeping independent copies of important records. Finalized inspections are read-only in the app to preserve a consistent snapshot, but this does not make them tamper-proof or independently verified.

6. Local storage and data loss

Renter Vault is local-first. Uninstalling the app, deleting vault data, losing or damaging a device, or an operating-system failure may permanently remove records. We are not responsible for records that exist only on your device. Export and independently back up important files.

7. Pro purchases and subscriptions

Pro features may be offered through auto-renewable monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. The store displays the current localized price before confirmation. Subscription payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account and renews automatically unless canceled within the period stated by the store. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your platform account settings. Use “Restore purchases” in the app for eligible prior purchases.

Purchases, billing, cancellations, and refunds are processed under the applicable platform’s rules. Except where law requires otherwise, Orbitech cannot issue a refund for a transaction controlled by Apple or Google.

8. License and intellectual property

Orbitech grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Renter Vault for its intended purpose. The app, brand, visual design, software, and non-user content belong to Orbitech or its licensors. You may not reverse engineer, resell, interfere with, or misuse the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

9. Third-party services

Your device platform, app store, system share sheet, and any destination you select for an exported file are third-party services with separate terms. Orbitech is not responsible for their availability, security, or handling of a copy you send to them.

10. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep Renter Vault reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or file, or preservation of local data after events outside our control.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renter Vault is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbitech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost records, profits, deposits, opportunities, or goodwill; or decisions made using the app. Orbitech’s total liability relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for Renter Vault during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Applicable consumer law may provide rights that cannot be limited.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law in your place of residence applies. Any proceeding that is not required to be brought elsewhere under applicable law will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Delaware.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the revised effective date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
