Privacy Policy

Gallery Sweep is designed to organize photo and video clutter privately on your device.

Photo and video library access

With your permission, Gallery Sweep reads library metadata and operating-system-provided thumbnails to find file duplicates, high-confidence identical photos, visually similar shots, screenshots, large videos, and recent media. Full-library access enables comparison across the library. If you grant selected or limited access, the app processes only accessible items and labels the results accordingly.

Analysis occurs on your device. The app does not sell, share, or use library content for advertising. Nothing is removed automatically. You review a queue and separately approve the operating system’s media-removal request.

Information stored locally

For performance and continuity, Gallery Sweep may store platform asset identifiers, dimensions and dates, media flags, derived cryptographic or perceptual hashes, color, sharpness and exposure scores, scan state, cleanup decisions, preferences, and a cached subscription entitlement. It does not store permanent full-resolution copies of your media. Temporary thumbnails are limited to what is needed for display or analysis and can be cleared by the operating system or app maintenance.

Cloud-backed media

If an item exists only in a system-managed cloud media service, the device operating system may download the user-owned item when requested. This is a system or cloud-provider transfer, not an upload to Orbitech LLC. Gallery Sweep avoids downloading every cloud original during a normal scan.

Subscriptions and third parties

Your app store processes subscription transactions under its own privacy policy. Gallery Sweep receives store product and purchase-status information needed to provide Pro features. Orbitech LLC does not receive or store full payment-card information.

Data retention and control

Local derived metadata remains on the device until it is replaced by a rescan, cleared with Clear Local Scan Index, removed by uninstalling the app, or removed through operating-system storage controls. Clearing the index does not delete photos or videos. Subscription records may remain with the store provider according to its policy and legal obligations.

Security

Gallery Sweep minimizes stored data and uses operating-system sandboxes and official media and billing interfaces. No product can guarantee absolute security. Contact jpaglaste@orbitech.llc if you believe you found a security or privacy issue.

Children’s privacy

Gallery Sweep is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from children. Orbitech LLC will address a verified concern submitted to jpaglaste@orbitech.llc.

US users and legal rights

Because version 1 does not collect personal data to developer-controlled systems, many access or deletion requests can be completed directly by clearing the local index or uninstalling the app. Users may contact the data controller at jpaglaste@orbitech.llc about rights available under applicable US state privacy laws. Orbitech LLC will verify and respond to applicable requests as required by law.

Changes

This policy may change when features or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be communicated as required. A future version that adds analytics, accounts, or a backend must update this policy and obtain any required consent before collection begins.
